February 1, 2024 Sales Tax Rate Changes

We love when there are not too many changes!  This is an "in-between" month. 

KANSAS

Change in the shipping indicator.  Kansas no longer imposes sales tax on delivery charges that are separately stated on the invoice given to the purchaser, so we changed the shipping indicator from YES to NO. 

ALABAMA

We received a rate change notice regarding the City of Lanett.  The police jurisdiction (PJ) outside the city limits has been eliminated, so the Chambers County PJ has also been expired. However, the Chambers County Unincorporated Areas (7109) tax rates will apply for that area.  Confused? Us too.  Alabama does not provide very clean boundaries.  If you have any issues with a rate, email the street address to us and we will verify it for you.

ATTENTION .csv Full Breakout Format Users

We have a new and improved format for you!

Some of you know that when a ZIP code covers more than one county, the Full Breakout table does not include all the counties.  We've been working on this and now have the new .csv Full Breakout Multi-County format for you.  It has been out for a few months and is working perfectly.

• The file layout is exactly the same as the Full Breakout....it just has additional rows for the other counties.
• The price is also exactly the same.
